Vertical Solutions was formed in 2005 by two avid climbers, Dustin Buckthal and John Stack. The two have since been leading the efforts of designing and manufacturing some of the most cutting edge climbing gyms throughout the country.

We are climbers, designers, builders, gym operators, and entrepreneurs that are part of a greater force to evolve climbing gyms and professional climbing competitions.   We envision, design, build, and operate climbing gyms with an understanding and focus on form and function, reliability in service, quality in product, and operational success.  We work tirelessly to meet our clients’ expectations, as well as our own.  We have a proven track record of delivering under pressure and at quality.

Based in Salt Lake City, Vertical Solutions designs and manufactures climbing gyms and climbing walls throughout the country.

Dustin Buckthal - Co-owner of Vertical Solutions and current owner of the Front Climbing Clubs in Salt Lake City and Ogden, UT, and Boise, ID. Prior to The Front, Dustin managed climbing gyms in Ashland OR, and Boise ID. An avid sports climber and entrepreneur, Dustin has degrees from Southern Oregon University and University of Utah in mathematics and chemistry.
